Academic Activities of Jilin University’s 70th Anniversary Celebration-- Academic Reports in the Communication Field of the College of Communication Engineering of Jilin University in the Academic Activities of Queen’s University Teaching Week

On the morning of May 26, Dr. Scott Yam, Associate Professor of Queen’s University in Canada, gave an academic report entitled Collaborative Opportunities in Photonics Research at Queen’s University at the College of Communication Engineering. This event is an important part of the teaching activity week between Queen’s University of Canada and Jilin University. The report was hosted by Professor Xiaohui Zhao, Dean of the College of Communication Engineering of Jilin University. More than 100 representatives of teachers and students from the school participated in this academic exchange activity.

 

Dr. Scott Yam first introduced the history of Queens University and the status quo of engineering disciplines to the teachers and students of the college, and then mainly focused on the research status of optical communications. Finally, Dr. Scott Yam gave an academic lecture on Reducing the Complexity of Nonlinearity Pre-compensation Using Symmetric EDC and Pulse Shaping, which was spoken highly of by the teachers and students of the college.
