Invited by the College of Communication Engineering of Jilin University, Liu Ming, a senior scientist at the Institute of Information and Communication Research of ASTAR, visited our college for academic exchanges. Zhao Xiaohui, Dean of the College of Communication Engineering, presided over and participated in the academic seminar. Liu Ming made an academic report titled on “Challenge and Case Study in Applying Research into Industry”. In the report, he discussed current hot research issues such as data mining and IPTV. He also conducted in-depth exchanges and discussions with teachers and students of our college on how to apply scientific research results to the industry. He took questions from the teachers and students on the spot patiently and in detail, and were well received by the teachers and students.
