 1.宽带信息网络理论与技术. 包括: 网络通信协议研究和开发, 网络程序设计. 网络仿真技术. 网络多媒体通信技术等。
 2.软交换实现技术及下一代网络(NGN)设计. 包括: 软交换组网与系统管理技术. 网络融合技术,VPN技术;多协议标记交换(MPLS)   技术。
 3.网络信息安全技术.包括:用户认证和授权,数据保护,数据加密与解密,密钥密码体制.
 4.无线通信理论包括: Ad Hoc 网络技术;ZigBee技术等。
 5.数据挖掘技术. 包括: 数据挖掘的功能及常用技术的研究(人工神经网络, 决策树, 遗传算法等)。
 6.5G网络组网设计及研究。
